@Luka Milicevic @Account Closed

Thank you all for of your strong responses. I love seeing subjects such as this one from multiple angles. I believe this is one reason why I am so interested into getting into real estate, aside from the wealth. It's the hunt that gets me moving. Real estate is multi-faceted and knowledge is power and the only limiting factor is myself. I absolutely love the challenge ahead.

I have just signed up for an online course to get my RE license and I have to take leave and fly From Germany to the United States to take the test in person. It's a little out of the way, but with this license I don't believe anyone will work as hard for me as I will.

Thank you for your guidance

I'm sure I'll need more in the future

Stay frosty my friends

@Account Closed I apologize for the slow response. While german Internet can be really good it takes a while for a repairman to get the job done, but I guess there can issues anywhere you live. The language barrier doesn't make things better although, I am getting better. Sounds like a plan. If you don't mind me asking. What is your model in a nutshell?

And 20 years of service, well done. How did the reserves come to active duty?

@Tim Toney   Sound advice. I'm not sure what will come of these injuries. I've been in physical rehab for the past few months, which in turn got me to start thinking of real estate, and I'm not sure I'll qualify for any disability. Time will tell. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Until now I hadn't thought of using the VA for investing, but now that you mention it I should be using every tool in my tool box. 9+ years is a long time to be in especially if you were in the NAVY, Hahahahaha. You guys cooped up on them boats must have been horrible. Just kidding. I know some really legit dudes in the navy.

I was so close to paying for a mentor before I found this site. I'm glad you're pointing me in the right direction. Thanks for ideas with the sig, mentor, and va. I really do appreciate every bit of advice I get. And thanks for serving. I wouldn't have gotten my chance without men like you.

@Nick Lee it's a small world. I've worked along side your SAS. They are a rowdy/professional bunch of dudes. Thanks for the advice. I'll take it and use it

@Nick Lee thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to sell people's houses for them. I'd like access to the mls and as of right now I plan on wholesaling and buy & hold.

Hey BP crew,

I am new to REI and I have 9 months before I move from Europe back to the U.S. In that time I believe I can earn a RE license. It may seems like an easy question to answer for you, but is it helpful/necessary to get a license?

Any advice helps.  Thanks.

Stay frosty

I'm so glad that I've ran across the BP crew. There is so much good information, lessons learned, and most importantly smart individuals who aren't looking to gain, but just to lend a helping hand. I think the transition won't be too bad. As I leave one band of brothers I believe I have found a new one to kick some *** with.

Thanks a lot

@Kyle Tokasey great advice!I just started listening to the podcasts yesterday and you are right. Mind blown! I have about 15 pages of notes from the two I listened to yesterday. Any advice on books I should read? I am really into audiobooks.

@Joel W. You're right! from the outside looking in it does seem crazy to get out when retirement is only 8 years away. With you having 10 years in yourself I know you can understand the "difficulties" and BS that come with the territory. The job is actually very easy and there is nothing like gunning shoulder to shoulder with a brother, but it's my time to leave (partly due to injuries). So there are ups and downs as I'm sure there are with REinvesting. Getting a job with a business or RE group, that's an excellent idea. We do OJT's (on the job training) all the time.

@Account Closed Thanks. I'll be heading back to the southern NM area, but eventually I'd like to have a business model that I can take and duplicate anywhere.

@Tim Toney Thanks, and will do!! I can't wait to get back to the states and get started.  I wonder if there are any online mentors that don't cost an arm and a leg. Any ideas?
