@Billy Mehlinger welcome to BP!

There is definitely a lot going on in atlanta and lots of opportunities! The dunwoody and Sandy springs areas can be a little expensive but there are a lot of older homes that could pose good opportunities for rehab and rental or resale from what I have seen. I work in that area feel free to send me a message!

Good luck in your hunt!

@Terrence Smith  Thanks for the welcome! I have hung my license with Berkshire Hathaway through a family connection. I think if I did not have that connection I would definitely feel out folks on BP. I met a lot of great people during my cram course before the exam, so if you go that route maybe you could link up with some folks. I have heard the REIAs and get togethers are great as well, maybe I will meet you at one soon!

@Todd Campbell Thanks! I would love to work with investors. Let me know if you have any questions, I will help where I can!

Hello BP,

Long time listener and consumer of information, first time posting.

Have seen a lot of introductions lately and thought it would be a great chance for me to introduce myself to everyone as well.

I'm David Lemond, a recent Georgia Real Estate license recipient and hopeful investor. I have lived in the Atlanta area most of my life and currently reside in Brookhaven. My background is in performing environmental due diligence for Private Equity real estate transactions, REITs and other transactions. I currently work full time in environmental casualty insurance and underwrite environmental/pollution insurance policies for anything from large redevelopment mixed use projects to residential construction contractors all over the US. I got my Real Estate License to help me get a better understanding of the deals that I work on as well as get into real estate investing/helping investors and home buyers in the Atlanta area. I am happy to help any Atlanta area investors check out investment properties and look forward to networking with everyone.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to connect!

Thanks!

David
