@Jazlynn Gibbs if you look at the history of recessions home values do not always fall, and in some cases rise. The 2008 recession impacted the real estate on such a large scale because the recession was driven by in a large part due to improper lending practices and bad mortgages. This is not the case right now. Study the history of US economics and past impacts of recessions on the real estate market and you will be surprised. Don’t feed into the media or rumors, rely on data and history- it always seems to repeat itself.

@Jose Leon your in the right place, read all the blogs you can. If you have a smart phone listen to all of the podcasts as well. DM and I will mail you some books to read. The best part about real estate is that you can learn most of it on your own And through venues like this. Keep working the two or three jobs, I did too when I was young and that’s the work ethic you need to develop to be successful in real estate. Lastly, start saving now. Pay yourself first on every paycheck and put 20% away, every time.

@Kyleigh Morgan I'm not a lawyer but I would recommend analyzing deals and making offers. Once your offer is accepted create a LLC for the specific property- I name my LLC the actual address. The reason to do that is it shelters your personal assets away from the property. For example if a tenant sues you and wins they can't come after your personal assets.

As I’ve started to use BP more often because I’ve made a commitment to focus on real estate and become financially independent thru investing. I’ve noticed a lot of brand new investors looking for advice on how to use other people’s money to complete their first deal. If you do not have the credit or the finances to complete your first deal I would strongly recommend working to fix those areas first. Real Estate is hard, if you are not a professional it is unfair to put someone’s hard earned money at risk.

Hi Everyone, I’ve been passionate about real estate, investing, and entrepreneurship ever since college.

Over the past five years I’ve done some investing (3 single family rentals, and two flips) and last year I became licensed as a real estate agent. My goal is to work strictly with investors. I’m currently working with 5 active investors and have spoke with a couple others over the last few weeks.

If you are experienced and I can help add value to your business in anyway please reach out. I take a special interest in wholesale, flips, and buy and hold. I look forward to connecting and growing.

I live in the Southeastern Connecticut area. I specialize in creating off-market opportunities for my VIP buyers. I mainly wholesale and invest out of New London County. If you are currently flipping, buying rentals, or wholesaling in the Connecticut market reach out to me and let's see how we can help each other grow.
