2. Prices in Tulum are way past 110 k for a 2-bedroom! Studios sell for that price! While Tulum is way behind Cancun and Playa in terms of their development, you have to pay for the "brand" and "celebrity" premium. This makes no sense to me as you won't get more rental income than in Playa. I'm not sure about Cancun since you have the all-inclusive competition there.

3. I'm not sure what's the point of your question. Like in the US, you buy a condo but you rent an apartment. If you could purchase an apartment, it'd be a condo.
