@Vincent Ramirez Some people say $10 some people say $100, some might say more. That money does not go to the seller, it goes to the title company to hold and put towards the purchase price. Depending on the contract that you make up, you can word it as Refundable back to buyer or not refundable goes to seller, if deal falls through. (Look up/ google wording)

@Chris Mason Have you ever played cash flow 101? It helps people realize what they could have if they are in real estate investing? Have you and your spouse read any of the Robert Kiyosaki books? Start with Rich Dad Poor Dad. It sounds like your wife has the poor mind frame and you have the rich mind frame. Maybe the book will install that mind frame into her. You can listen to the audio version on YouTube. Just listen to maybe 20 minutes a day or something.

Or do a lease option on it.

i was wondering about the experience as well. I just had an ad pop up in my news feed. What I've learned from these types of events (I haven't been to this particular one) they tell you bits and pieces at the seminar, but most of the seminar is pitch. The pitch usually goes like this...

For 10k or 15k we will be your personal mentor.

I find what's best about these events, don't bring your credit cards or check books so you won't be tempted.

Networking by bringing business cards to the events I think is the best thing you can do. 

an ad popped up in my news feed that they are coming as a conference or seminar to my area just outside of st Louis, Mo.

I've been to a few real estate seminars and they range from free to $100 to go. Then when you get there they tell you a lot of info, then comes the sales pitch. If you have 10,000 - $20,000.00 we can be your personal mentor and walk you through how to do this. 

My local real estate club says then they get a lot of calls saying that the company's (in general, not specific to this one) that put on the seminar, tells them to reach out to their local clubs in addition to any other information they give out.

I actually hit search to see if anyone else has run across this seminar and hoped to see what all the hype is.
