I'm looking to buy my first rental property, ideally single family with a separate basement unit. I'm currently focusing on the Okanagan region, although I'm also open to places in Ontario (currently living in Toronto, but unfamiliar with anything outside of the GTA).

Any insights towards the pros and cons of different cities in the Okanagan (especially Kelowna and Kamloops) as well as Okanagan as a whole vs. more affordable places outside of the GTA in Ontario. Currently I'm most interested in Kamloops, does anyone have any data sources for employment, vacancy etc.?

Does anyone know of any good real estate agents in Kamloops and Kelowna, will be making a trip back and would like to get in touch with a real estate agent to look at places in each city (COVID allowing).

Thank you.
