Hi, we're looking for a reliable CPA in the Anchorage area that specializes in real estate investment. We'd appreciate hearing about any positive and/or negative experiences with CPAs. We currently have three properties (6 units), but plan to be expanding in the coming years, and want to establish a relationship with a good CPA.

@Eddie Starr #49 is wonderful! But so is your neck of the woods.

It's really exciting to see so many folks on here in Alaska! @Rodney Wehr and I are just hitting the ground and we're looking forward to catching up with other REIs in the area. We will see you at a meetup for sure, but I'm interested in coffee meet-and greet's at other times too. We're just developing a business plan to hone in on our strategy to financial freedom, but we're already on our way with a couple of properties (SFR, duplex and triplex). I believe @Nate & Sharon Shaw mentioned in their intro that working together gets us all ahead- we are definitely interested in the right kinds of partnerships! (the ones that would be mutually beneficial!)

Anyhow, a late welcome to @Polly Reutov (even thought I'm newer than you :) ) and see you soon to you AK folks!

I heard about the tenant screening guide and definitely have it on my reading list. I can't say we have our finger fully on the pulse of the AK market yet. We're just plunging in. There is talk of significant new oil and gas development that I'm guessing is bringing in more investors, but we hope to figure out our niche.

We are trying to figure out exactly what we want to pursue and in the meanwhile just looking for great deals and learning about what's out there. We're actually looking at rehab/resell to generate some income and experience to be able to put more into buy and hold multi-families.

We haven't been yet, but we did recently here of the REI meet ups and are definitely headed to the upcoming ones. Alexander, I'll check out your profile more, and hopefully see you at an upcoming event, but what's your background and goals?

Hello!

My partner and I own a couple properties that we rent and we are finally motivated to take things up a notch. We've been catching up on the BP podcasts (I LOVE them! Thank you!), educating ourselves, and figuring out what we want to do next (we closed on a triplex earlier this month).

We just decided that I will resign from my job to focus on our real estate venture- scary and exciting! I am currently looking for work in the real estate field and pretty much any way to gain experience and educate myself.

I'm very much looking forward to becoming more involved on BP and in our local real estate investing scene!!
