Love all the stories!  Thanks to everyone for sharing.  My husband and I plan to continue to drive our 2003 shoelace held together fender for a while yet.  We are working hard at this point trying to obtain good properties that we can keep for years to come.

@Dylan D. @Toby Johnson Where there's a will there's a way.  Dylan, compliments on your first rental, hope the next few years are incredibly fruitful.  Toby, learn as much as you can but don't wait too long before buying a good performing property.  The information on this platform is incredible as well as the podcasts.

@Joe Splitrock I drive ALOT, so I try to use my time wisely.  I listen to audiobooks and have listed to The Millionaire Nest Door, and I have gotten a wealth of information from it.  This is one of my recommended reading (or at least listening) when I talk to anyone new in RE.

My husband and I recently met a couple who were rehabbing a rental and noticed that they were driving a very nice luxurious  SUV, now we learned they have had rentals for 40 years and were ready to begin to sell off some properties.  We pulled up in a 2003 Ford truck with the front fender being held together with a shoelace.  That got me thinking about what kind of cars other new and Seasoned investors are driving or drove in order to reach their goals.  Would love to hear your stories.

@Rob Aliberti I’m looking for this exact thing!   I remember hearing about this on a very early podcast ‘RUBS’ if I remember correctly.  If anyone out there has split the water in small multi please share your experience.

@Tiffiny John. Hi Tiffany, I was wondering I’d you ended up landlording from afar or if you sold your duplexes.  Did you buy any rentals in your ‘new town’?

@Billy Hills Hi there, it’s been awhile since this post.  Came across this thread and wondering if you did any flips?  Really glad you decided to start on credit first, this allows you to have obtain credit AND with lower interest rates.  Hope to hear some good news.  Best of luck!!!

@Zen Johnson pre-Covid, pretty good overall. Great PM. check came in monthly. Tougher since the pandemic. A couple of tenants unable to pay their rent. Was able to get some money from cares-aide.

Overall kinda ok area, but either you have to be pretty good at landlording or have a very knowledgeable in THIS particular area.
