Hey folks, 

I'm an engineer and investor (currently owning 2 doors and managing 5 for close family). I would love to chat with folks who own or manage multiple properties in the GTA (open to a video or phone call). Super interested in both local owners and out-of-province owners/managers. Would anyone be up for a quick chat?

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $280,000
Cash invested: $78,000

Single family home purchased for the long term.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Simplicity, ease-of-management, and favourable rent-price ratio in a market I was confident about.

Hi there! 

I'm a long-time Bigger Pockets listener and reader with a couple of simple deals (single family homes) under my my investment belt. Next, I would like to expand and do either a duplex conversion or duplex purchase in Kitchener, Ontario for house hacking. 

I would love some tips on how to go through this process. I haven't led a renovation before but would ideally be looking either to convert a single family home into a duplex, or purchase a fixer-upper duplex and add value by renovating it. 

Any tips from the community here would be super helpful! If anyone has recommendations for an agent/team who is knowledgeable with this specific process and has helped clients make purchases with renovation plans in place, I would be grateful for an introduction.
