interested too. I lived at 5th & chestnut. If i had known better about rei, i would have bought that house, great location. My mom owns 4 rentals there & my brother still lives there running a cabinet shop & doing his own taxidermy cabinets as well. Id be very interested now but most prices are elevated right now on mls. I have heard there is a shortage of rentals this year. With my brother is town, a prop mgr my mom uses & his employees too, i have decent contacts there. Plus i just like the town :)

I attend the BP meetups that happen about once a quarter here in Sac. I went to CSUC and was up there for 10 years (4 in school and stayed around for 6 more after). I love the area, my wife was born and raised there which was one of the reasons she wanted to leave, had to spread her wings. However I know the area is great for rentals, I mean I rented for ten years while I was up there. Generally I am looking for anything that I can get conventional financing on first, 3 bed 1-2bath (I like 1.5 so I have the option to convert the .5 to a full), and needs some work. I aim to BRRR my properties, so if you have something that falls in that category I would be interested in talking to you about it, or even if it doesn't fit that model and you just need someone to look at the numbers as a second opinion let me know.

@Dave Hallwe have a great free rei meetings in Roseville. Since Chico is so small you can start your own meetings. try starting a meetup group in chico along with a facebook rei page in Chico to see if you can get people to show up. You can always email any financing questions about investment houses.

@Dave Hall Welcome to the site, Chico is a good rental market due to the college.  Keep in touch I will be in the market for a deal in the near future and would consider Chico as an option.

Hey Dave...

I'm from Chico but also am a newbie.  I would love to connect and talk though. Have some thoughts on creating more networking in Chico.

My son (he is 16 and has a tremendous desire to succeed in RE) and I have been traveling down to Roseville and Sacramento for network meetings which are great but would love to start something up here.  

Chico is so small, we probably have some sort of connection already.  It seems when I meet new people they usually know someone I know, or there is some sort of connection.  That's one thing I like about Chico.  You def must be on good behavior here, because word gets out quick!  Anyway, welcome to BP.  You will LOVE this site!!!

Nice to meet you too ! Weather has been killer man, sunny and warm. I have not been to ComiCon but have a lot of friends that go every year, it just was last weekend. 

I've been in REI since the crash with SFR's, I am now a Hard Money lender for CA, AZ, NV, and TX and also flipping some properties with a couple partners here in San Diego. We have done some Bay Area properties, so keep my contact in case you need some help/ advice or even a partner.
