Is it possible to get a no-money-down constrution loan? I'm looking for about $190,000.

I have already gone through the application process with 3 loan brokers, and none of them have been able to help. They have all said they can't do it, and have referred me to someone else. Is this request ridiculous? I would be willing to put a small percentage down, but I would like to try and get 100% financing.

I'm just wondering if this can even be done? I'm still trying...

Many people have highly recommended the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, by Richard Kiyosaki.

I came across this great article that completely tore the book, and the author, to shreds.

While reading Rich Dad Poor Dad was insightful for me, I now am looking at it a little bit differently after reading this review.

Any opinions on this?

This issue has been in the back of my mind... My boyfriend and I are beginning to start investing. We have been together for 5 great years, and we plan to be together for many more to come. Although I feel confident that we are on the same page and can work any problem out, I still want to protect myself (and him) in case something should happen.

What kind of agreement should we draw up, and where can I find a sample agreement of this kind? Thank you.

Hello, I am searching for a broker in the San Francisco Bay Area, preferably someone who has experience with investments and construction.

I am looking to get a construction loan to build in the state of Arkansas. The total loan needed would be about $190,000.

Can anyone suggest a good broker in this area? Thank you.

I'm in the same situation. I can't afford to being investing anywhere here in the San Francisco Bay Area...it's way out of my price range. I'm looking to build investment properties in Arkansas, and I have a contact out there who is helping me with some of the work. I agree that finding contractors/management that you can trust is the hardest part! Also be sure to learn about any rules or regulations specific to the area that you plan to invest in!

Best of luck to you!

*I posted this in the "Starting Out" section, but I though I would try here as well.*

I'm a bit confused as to what type of loan I should be looking for.

The project: I'm purchasing a small plot of land, building a home on it (I already have a contractor lined up and he's given me a bid), and then selling the home (for a profit).

Should I be looking for a construction loan? A business loan? A standard mortgage loan? A personal loan?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of each of these different types of loans?

Thank you for any replies.
