Thank you Greg Dwyer I appreciate the kind words!
Thanks for the feedback Trey Watson I like your idea. I am excited to get started so I guess it's time to make the jump and keep an eye out for opportunities!

Hello all,

I am a young professional living in Houston (Rice Military). I graduated in 2014 with an industrial engineering degree and minor in marketing. I played football for Okstate, so I can bring experience from my sport career as well. I am looking to help out an experienced investor so that I can learn and get my feet wet. I am great with numbers, so may be able to support in some analysis?

Please let me know if you need assistance and I am willing to help as long as I am learning!

Just for your knowledge, I am interested in but and holds for rental income (looking to build my passive portfolio). But would be open to other avenues. I am a driven individual with big dreams, it excites me to think big and I want to associate myself with a mentor who thinks similarly!

Thanks,

Devin

Hello, I am starting to develop my criteria as an investor. I know that this will be specific to me, but does anyone suggest a good starting point, reading material, articles, or personal examples of their criteria they look for in a solid cash flow rental property? Thanks, Devin

I am also checking into AirBnB options in Houston. I would be interested to know your strategy Henry Kernan . My initial thinking were town homes in the Heights/ Rice Military area would be ideal AirBnB candidates. Are there certain areas or home types that you have seen most success?

I have been wondering the same thing Michael. I think there is typically a lag from the oil industry taking a hit but not sure how that will relate to our area. Gut feeling was around winter would be a good time to purchase?

Hello all,

I just joined the BP community after listening to the podcast for about 3 weeks and reading up on some real estate investment material. I plan to practice analyzing good rental deals in my current area, after viewing this video that Brandon posted on YouTube "How I quickly Analyze a Rental Property for Cash Flow".

I plan to purchase my first home this year, and prefer to purchase a townhome in the inner loop (preferably Rice Military/ Heights vicinity), but I know it is a pricey area. My plan was to purchase live in it, then transition it to a rental. I thought it would be good to run the rental investment numbers as if it were a rental deal to ensure it is a good investment. I am sure I will be reaching out soon to get everyones opinion on whether my analysis' are legit. Excited to get started!

Thanks,

Devin
