Currently our agreement does not address that issue and of course going forward it will.  Since it was a rental agreement instead of a lease agreement, I'm unable to find the answer.

Usually if you break a lease you are responsible for the rent until it is re-leased.  I just don't know if that would apply here.

I have a roommate / short term rental  who paid for six months in advance and now wants to leave two months early.  Do I have to refund her the unpaid rent even if she is deciding to leave early?
