Hello all, so today I officially closed on a duplex that I am going to househack. I won’t be able to move in until the month is over, since there are existing tenants. The other side is managed by a property management company at the moment. I plan to self manage the one side so I’ll be officially landlording once I move in. I’m 26 and this is my first time investing and will be my first landlording experience. I’m not too crazy about the idea of Inheriting tenants but I’m hoping to make a smooth transition. I am open to any tips, advice, or steps I should take from this point on! Feel free to ask not about the purchase as well!

Thanks for the advice everyone. Currently checking into some local lenders and agents. If I’m shy of where I I need to be, at least I’m familiar with the process up until that point.

Hi everyone. I’ve been on and off studying the real estate game for about a year and a half now and decided it’s time to take some steps. I currently make about 40k right now and have about 13k saved up myself. Looking to get a multi family in my area and house hack my way to more properties to supplement my current job and hopefully learn more clever ways for REI as I go on. Credits in good shape with the only liability being a car loan. I currently came across a duplex sitting on 6 acres minutes away from an up and coming area(restaurants and shopping). And to top it off is minutes away from my current residence. I can cover the down payment for an FHA and some. Am I well equipped enough to dive in?
