@Kathy Henley you are absolutely right. My wife grew up with a saver.  That is all that she has been taught and all that she knows.  Her father has recently started to show an interest in what I am doing, and has even started to read my books.  I'm hoping that as his knowledge in the matter increases that he will help me to get his daughter, my wife, on board.  So for now it is, My goals.  

I am currently completing the KAPLAN University online  course for the California RE license.  I too work a lot! I currently work 6 10 hr shifts. I really like the pace and the structure of it.  I also invested in a portable WIFI from sprint and I take my laptop to work with me.  I work on my licensing 1 hour before work and an hour during my lunch break.   

I want to first  say congratulations to the both of you.  So awesome to have made such a life changing achievement in so little time.  stories like yours are so inspiring to me.  stories like this also help me show my wife that my goals aren't far fetched.  that you really can do a lot in real estate.  thanks again for sharing your story.  keep up the good work!

Hello Bigger Pockets!

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Dennis Tapert.  I'm 34 years old. I have a wife and two dogs. I currently live in Southern California, but I am looking to start my investing outside of California. I've had my eyes on Michigan for awhile, and as we all know how much josh loves Detroit.  I'm looking to build my business in the Grand Rapids area.

It's not because I'm scared to invest in my area. I just think that I can grow faster in that market.

I would love to meet investors in this area as well as many others too.  I'm VERY charismatic, and extremely outgoing.
