Post: Series LLC and Short Sale

Good morning all,

Being there's alot of real estate investors here, I figure someone could help with my situation or question. So I may have a deal that could end up with a short sale. From my research, I've been seeing that in order to wholesale a short sale, I must get the property contracted under a land trust, and when I find an end buyer I would sell that trust (or relieve my beneficial interests to end buyer for a fee). I have that part understood. My question is, if I own a series LLC, can I create a land trust under the LLC, then when closing comes, could I sell that individual series or land trust without having to sell the whole LLC? Please help me out with this. Thank you!

Post: Upsides of Absentee Owned Properties with 50% Equity

Hello fellow BiggerPocketeers,

Lame I know but serious question. I purchased a lead source of properties of absentee owned homes with 50% or more equity in them. I'm starting out and I probably should have done a little more research, but with this list, what are some possible upsides to having such leads? I heard from a podcast that this may be good for investors that dabble in wholesaling. Could someone suggest others ways I can get started?

Yet another awesome podcast! Thank you for your time sir, and your insight on the mindset needed in this game.

Good morning all. My name is Dennis Williams and I've been around here for a few months just soaking up info through the podcasts and books. A little about myself, I'm currently in the Army, I work as a security officer at a hospital here in Florence, and I'm a marketing rep at another company part time. I have a lovely wife and 2 children. So with all that you can imagine how busy things can get. What got my interests up in real estate investing was the thought of complete freedom. What I plan on doing in real estate is buy and hold rentals and networking with others who have a great sum of knowledge in this field. I look forward to continuing with BiggerPockets and hope to be one of those great success stories. Thank you!
