Hi Tim! Great recap. Thank you for posting about the panel! I was the moderator, and you're right--there was a lot of information covered that day.

Your explanation is correct regarding HPRs. You now have to own both homes in the HPR and live in one and can get an owner-occupied permit to rent out the other. They are essentially treating it like a duplex that is zoned residential.

You are also correct regarding LLCs, BUT if someone is going to do an owner-occupied STR, the property has to be owned by a "natural person" according to BL----608. It can not be owned by an LLC or a corporation. It's part of Amendment 8, section II.
