@Matthew Beasley, not really anything consistent from the folks in the Charleston area.  There are a few guys meeting most months around Barboursville.  I can let you know the next time if you are interested.

I have to work so I’m not able to make it. Thanks for the heads up though.

Definitely would enjoy a get together. Pies & pints or any other watering hole is fine with me. My network could use the people infusion.
Always interested in seeing potential deals. Let’s get together.

I see where you guys are discussing meetups and varying schedules. I, like Jarrett, work a non traditional schedule. So a set day of the week at a particular time may or may not work. Just depends where it falls in my rotation. All of that said, I just want to get together occasionally to give my wife a break from me talking about real estate all of the time. If we’re able to squeeze a brew or two in, that’s even better. Thanks to all of you guys for starting the conversation. This is a real need in our area.

I agree with Daniel, sounds like a great idea.  Ready to start making connections. Thanks.

That’s what I’m thinking too. I also feel as if the book considers the loan pay down in its calculation of Mike’s equity while completely ignoring Tom’s.
The book also mentions Mike leaving money in his BRRRRs. To me, that means he’s buying equity with his own money-just like Tom. And they aren’t giving Tom credit for his equity. I hope I’m missing something. If I’m correct, Mike’s equity is grossly overstated.

In the BRRRR book it is stated more than once Traditional Tom has zero equity after 15 years. I'm not arguing that Mastery Mike has a larger portfolio and potentially more equity. I'm just very unclear how Tom's 25% down payment coupled with his loan pay down has yielded the zero equity claimed in the chapter. A friend posed this question to me after reading the passage and asked me about it. This comes across as misleading and I'd like to be able to provide an accurate and educated response.

In an effort to keep a little momentum going…I’m going to plan on being at Fireside in Teays Valley tomorrow about 530. If this time doesn’t work for you guys we can change it, but I figured we needed a starting point.

Sounds like a great idea. As of right now the 21st works for me too. I’ll be out of town on the 22nd.

Another meetup would be great. I have determined we are all busy and it’s difficult to make them happen. I guess we just need to keep trying and not get discouraged.
