Thanks @Jason L. I actually had not thought of that. But I put an offer in on a property I found on the MLS, so fingers are crossed!

Hello BP,

I'm searching for a multifamily property in Fort Worth to house-hack, and I know they go quickly in the ~150k price range. But, does anyone know about the four unit property in White Settlement on Bomber Rd.? I remember there being a lot of foot traffic, but don't remember it ever being under contract. I think it's off of the market now. I know there aren't too many people keen on White Settlement, but were there any other reasons to not look into it further?

Hi Brian,

I am also looking to get into the $5M deals. I will be using savings from my day job and fix & flip profits to fund a down payment. It will take about 7 years, I believe. The only way I see to get it done quicker is to partner or syndicate the deal for investors. Good Luck. I like the last name too! :)

Hi Keith,

Welcome to BP! There is a ton of information and investors on this site that you will learn a great deal from. Remember to continue to be active, you really get out what you put in. I haven't start my flipping journey yet, but I foresee finding a GC being an obstacle. Hopefully your business will be available when I start looking. Good Luck!

Hi Jimmy,

There are investors in Fort Worth flipping houses using contractors. You may be better off contacting someone directly after they post. I haven't start my flipping journey yet, but I foresee finding a GC being an obstacle.  I agree with @Barb Vallenari we need good contractors! Good luck!!!

My parents bought me a car in 2007, a 2008 Pontiac G6, during my first semester of college and paid it off before I graduated. It has about 80k miles on it now and I'm hoping to get it to 300k *fingers crossed* before I buy my next car a brand new Chevrolet Corvette... Hoping to have a large amount of money to waste ie. rich, before I buy my dream car!

Of course! I'm a finance/accounting nerd, so I have a monthly budget, retirement accts, real estate 10 yr plan, student loan payments, credit score calculations, etc. that I update monthly.  I've used Mint.com before, but just use an Excel spreadsheet now. No problem with Mint I just prefer Excel.

It's a confidence booster and it's motivating to see my liabilities decreasing and my assets increasing. It means I'm doing something right and I can easily set more goals when I know where I stand financially.

@Account Closed Thanks Amy! I have a more detailed plan for the next two years, but I really wanted to nail down my end goal to make sure it is at least feasible.

@Mark Gallagher I guess it's doable, but asking prices are upwards of 300k. I will keep my eyes open though, since I would need a primary residence anyway regardless of my investing goals. So I should wait on the flipping to stop renting and own first. I had that planned just way further out. I see your point.

@John Cohen Thanks John! I don't want it to come together too fast though :)
