I recently relocated from Florida to the great state of Texas and I am looking to get started in real estate investing. I am in the education process right now (reading books and devouring the BP forums and podcasts) and as I am researching my market and getting ready to look for my first investment, I am finding that my recent short-sale in Florida is inhibiting me from finding bank financing. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get past this as I have never had any other deficiencies on my credit and the bank I completed the short sale with required me to stop paying my mortgage before they would work with me. Thank you in advance for any thoughts or advice you may have.
