Good Morning Bigger Pockets Community!

My wife has decided to take her nursing skills on the road to reach and help more people. We are Wholesalers and small-scale rehabbers in the Indianapolis area and we also now have our first self-storage facility in Mississippi. I am going to continue holding down the home base here in Indy while Tracy takes on 13 week assignments across the country.

My question is about temporary/seasonal/surplus housing, and whether or not anyone here would have anything available that would be cost effective for the duration of each assignment..? Her first gig is Tuscaloosa, AL. Let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance for your time everyone!

Hey Manuel, Is this a nail-down, full glue or floating hardwood? Jerry W is right. 45° installations require 15-20% waste factor however, an engineered, floating hardwood can have as much as 20-25% waste. If it is a standard, 3/4", solid material, the border is also a good idea. You can even use the same color and it still has quite a dramatic affect on the overall appearance. It also gives you a bridge, starting point in each doorway an pass-through. Leave the closets until last and use up some of the waste in there. The border idea is a much more difficult option with engineered products. You will have to mill your own grooves at the cut ends and use loose tongues or dowels for structural integrity. One last thing about floating floors; 2600 sqft is too large to install without using transitions in doorways. Good luck. Post pictures. Dave

Hello everyone. My name is Dave Sharp from Noblesville, IN. My wife and I are taking the leap into real estate investing and it's about time! I have been involved with the commercial and residential floor covering business for over 30 years and have known many an investor. Always having an interest but making excuses for not enough time, has always held me back. My wife, Tracy, is an exceptional Emergency Room RN as well as an exceptional person in general. She has given me the boost I needed, say a loving "nudge", to pursue this business full time to help reach our long term, financial goals.

I thoroughly enjoy speaking with and helping people. My favorite part of the business so far is the many, new and interesting folks I have met in a short period of time. I expect BP will be no exception! I look forward to networking with like-minded individuals and of course, gleaning as much knowledge as I can from the many, experienced investors and entrepreneurs already involved. Thanks for the time and thanks in advance to everyone going forward!

Have a Great Day,

Dave & Tracy
