@Bill B. Thank you for the knowledge.

I have 2 sisters. I didn't think in that sense of inheritance. That will be a discussion I need to have with them to make sure everyone is OK with that plan. The discussion I had with him is he wanted to sell the house to me for $350,000. He bought the house in the 90s somewhere around $125,000. He owes $150,000 now because of divorce.

@Joe Homs I have another question. He will be eligible for Medicare in 6 months. Will the sale of his house affect his eligibility?

Good afternoon BP.

My father wants to sell me his primary residence and move in with my sister. He is 64 yrs old. He collects social security and has a part time job. The Property is worth around $425,000. He wants to sell it to me at a discount. My question is how will a house sale affect his retirement and selling me the house at a discount will affect me?
