I'm continuing to build out a team of professionals on the ground in Indianapolis and in search of a solid Real Estate Attorney in the area who can help provide advice on entities as well as reviewing documents required to purchase off-market properties directly from the seller.  Does anyone have a good recommendation?  Thanks!

I purchased the kindle version of J. Scott’s “book on estimating rehab costs” and am having a hard time finding the bonus content. Can someone send me a link?

Thanks!

@Tyler Lingle

My wife (Indy Native) and I are military out of state investors interested in properties in Irvington. We have 1 duplex on Emerson Ave, and are on to hunt for new deals after taking a couple year hiatus. We’d definitely be interested in any insights you have.

@Nick Giulioni would you mind sharing his contact info with me? I’ve got a duplex in Irvington that I need to swap carriers/coverage on. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I have a duplex in Indianapolis that I’ve had insured with USAA for the past few years. I’m looking to switch and find a local insurance broker who can recommend a carrier with good coverage options and rates. Any recommendations?

@Kimberly Veazey I’m in Colorado Springs and have a property downtown that I’m interested in discussing the potential for it to be a corporate rental. Actually filled out an owner inquiry on Your website yesterday. My wife and I are experienced with LTRs in town, but given the location of this property we think there’s tremendous potential in the short and medium term market, we just don’t have the experience/data to know if the juice will be worth the squeeze for furnishing the place.

@Aaron, Jeff, and Ritch,  Thanks for the replies!  I'm spending the couple of weeks trying to build a team on the ground in Indy and would welcome any referrals you all might have for reputable people who have experience working with investors.  Specifically I'm searching for a highly rated RE agent and/or wholesaler, lender, property manager, and contractor to partner with.  Thanks!

Hello All,

I am David Schnaak and I am 33 years old, married, and the father of twin 1.5 yr old boys. I am an Active Duty Army Special Forces Officer currently stationed in Monterey, CA, but most recently from and will soon return to Colorado Springs, CO.  I have been interested in real estate investing since my father shared "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" with me in high school, but have only in the past couple of years started to get serious about taking action.  I am 11 years into my military career, with 9 remaining before I am eligible to retire. My wife and I became accidental landlords when we received orders to move away from the home we purchased in Colorado Springs, and kept it as a successful rental property.  We are focused on expanding our business by investing in and rehabbing properties in and around her hometown of Indianapolis. We are excited to be a part of this community and looking forward to learning from and contributing to the excellent discussions that happen here!
