Hi all-

During this quarantine, I was furloughed from my sales job and I began to read anything and everything Bigger Pockets related.

I decided to start the 63 hour sales associate licensing course. I just finished the course this morning! I plan to take the exam soon as the testing centers re open.

I wanted to reach out on this forum, to see if any of you guys in the Delray Beach/ Palm Beach county area had any tips on the exam and the steps I should take after I pass and receive my license.
I'm new to the area, I just moved here in January from Chicago, so i am pretty uninformed on which brokerage's have quality track records for new licensees. I am motivated to find the best opportunity, and willing to listen and take advice from you more seasoned veterans.

Also, be sure to use a property calculator when analyzing deals.  I can send you mine if you need one.

Mitchell appreciate that, thats huge!!!! Sounds perfect for someone in my spot.

I will definitely attend the next one, once this social distancing phase is over. I'm curious as to how this economic crash is affecting local real estate markets, and the impact it will have on newly licsened agents finding clients.

Whats up Cody, Yeah man 100%, let's link up.

I just moved to Delray about a month ago.  So you probably got a much better feel for the local markets and the whole area in general. I'm down to get together though, and game plan a route to success for us new guys.

Appreciate your insight Brian.

Yeah man before this whole corona virus pandemic, I was going around the lower class portion of Delray door knocking, looking for sellers. Without much luck.

Since the quarantine, I've been grinding the FL sales associate licensing course. Thought mind as well learn the in's and out's of real estate. Get a license. Cant hurt to get my foot in the door.

I got that never settled, always looking for more mentality, so i'm trying to learn every avenue firsthand. See what peaks i'm interest and than master it.

Hi everyone,

I just moved down here to Delray Beach, Florida last month and during this "quarantine" I have been falling in love reading the BiggerPockets collection of books on real estate and real estate investing. So I thought, why not start a forum? See if I can connect with anyone located around the Delray Beach area. Who's got more knowledge than myself.

I am just starting to learn about Real Estate and Real Estate investing, but I want to learn, connect, and chat with the guys and girls out there who do this for a living, rather than continuously read about the topics.

@Clayton Hepler

Appreciate your response Clayton! I'm all about immersing myself around people, who have achieved, what I want to achieve. Proving my value and staying hungry is great advice.

I would love to get involved with the REIA. Do you have any more information on an upcoming meeting or event?

Hi all-

I am a recent college graduate, in the midst of job searching. I stumbled across the Bigger Pockets book " How to Invest in Real Estate" and quickly gained interest. I am trying to reach out to anyone around the Pittsburgh, PA area. I found a couple of local meetings coming up and I reached out to a few local members.Which I am excited to sit down with and learn a few things from more seasoned veterans.

Anyways, I thought it would be smart, to put my name out there, and get a thread going for the Pittsburgh area beginners of Bigger Pockets. I'm eager to hear back from anyone around.
