Hello everyone, I'm looking for a RE agent that can give me a MLS list for residential multifamily both for sale and foreclosures. Ideally, the RE agent is familiar with the VA loan. I'm looking to live there as a first time home owner using my VA loan. Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing and wanted input on that as well. I guess the airbnb aspect can be my first step into learning how to be a landlord, but still undecided at the moment.

So my plan is to utilize the VA loan and wrap the closing cost as well with 0% down loan. The only fee would be the lending fee, which is roughly 2.5% of the loan. The total loan would be roughly 300k for a 4 bed 3br. The plan is live in one room and rent the other three rooms on airbnb in CO Springs. After looking at some resources (craigslist, zillow, airbnb) I think I can rent each for for roughly $650 before airbnb fees (service, cleaning, etc). Total mortgage cost would be near 2k monthly, while total rental income before taxes would be $1950. Does this sound like a feasible plan for someone who has never purchased real estate and wants to start? CO springs recently passed an ordinance for short term rentals, which I don't fully grasp either. CO springs seems like a good place for low vacancy due to domestic migration and tourism, but please let me know if am misinformed. All advice would be appreciated.

Post: Multifamily in Aurora area

Hey everyone this is my first post. I'm very new to the idea of rental properties and after some initial research I would ideally like to house-hack a MF south of Aurora. I say south as it seems like its away from the ghetto of Aurora? Please correct me if I'm wrong, I am not a native there. I guess my big questions are if there are any residential MF in the Aurora area as I do not have access to the MLS and if it is possible to create a house hack situation there. I've even thought about getting a SF and possibly air bnbing the rooms out as well. Housing is significantly higher in CO, but I would like to make my investments work there as I plan on moving to Aurora for work in the near future. Any and all advice will be appreciated. Thanks. *Side note I have access to the VA loan as a recent Army vet.
