@Anthony Dooley Straight to the point huh. I really hate that's what it always comes back to. I guess my next forum post would be asking what are the biggest hurdles when trying to get your spouse onboard in general when in comes to real estate investing. I'll title it "Committed to the opposition." Lol!

Sooooo I've really been thinking about how to jumpstart reaching financial freedom. I'm pretty sold that real estate is the way to go. After brainstorming what would be the absolute quickest way to start, it dawned on me that instead of finishing my basement to be a mancave, I could finish it with renting in mind. I'm not sure exactly what it would fetch but I would guess somewhere around $1000 in my neighborhood. I totally made that number up so it could be way off. Anyway, after multiplying that by months and years, it really looks like a great opportunity for an awesome return. This is where things get sticky. I brought it up to the wife and she hates the thought of it with a passion. She feels like someone is going to be living with us, our privacy will be invaded, and in general a stranger will always be around. Despite my efforts to mention soundproofing, separate entrance, etc....., I'm unable to get her onboard. What is the best way to approach this? Any advise is welcome.
