Hello, we set up a LLC and have now secured a few fix n flips, does any one have a suggestion or can offer guidelines as to what's the most cost effective way to insure these, is there a company that does blanket policy or do I do each property? Also does any one know who can be trusted if such a thing exist in Insurance?

We are based in Michigan as well.

Hi, I have been buying places to fix and flip, as well as fix and keep, and now I find myself in the need for some help with trusted, value for money contractors. I have called a few that I could find and was wondering g if there are any contacts that those in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo could send me their contacts? I would prefer to avoid learning the hard way, and being recently new into these markets hope the community could help.

Hi all who replied, even that guy from England, bah, you win one lost game and you guys come out of the wood work! But in all seriousness I appreciate your input, I am beginning to think we will need a few banks, in each state that we are investing in, we currently have a rental in Tennessee and a bank, and they won't/can't use the properties we own up here as equity for a LOC, it's an interesting set up, but hey the opportunity is here so here I am staying. Thanks.

Hi Jerry

We are buying residential, fixers and keepers that we rent out, these are our collateral properties, and at this stage we are staying with Residential, both Single and multiple family homes.

I hope this helps.

Hello everyone,

My wife and I are new to the US, (from Australia) and we are looking for a US Bank that is known to be friendly to Real Estate Investors, we want one that

  • Has good Branch coverage across the US
  • That will take Property regardless of where it is in the US, as collateral for a Line Of Credit
  • Understand Real Estate Investors
  • And is easy to deal/work with

We are based in Kalamazoo Michigan, I have tried US Bank, but they will not accept Property in states other than where the account is opened, not to mention that they have a limited number of Branches so does anyone have some tips or suggestions?

Cheers

David
