@Jonathan Klemm @Jonathan Klemm Im tryning to use it as a strategy to identify an appreciating markets. My logic is that maybe a pattern of new building permits in an area might indicate a hot market.  Tbh I’ve never considered the north side. I’m not sure my budget is big enough.

Tbh, I haven’t really considered the north side. I’m not sure I have a big enough budget. 

Where can I find a map of new construction permits and new building permits issued for the city of Chicago? I‘ve found a list of permits but it’s almost useless because you’ve got to look up each address for every permit issued which is very time consuming. I’m buying my first home to house hack and I just want to make sure I’m buying in an appreciating market. Btw, I’m new to BP so I’m not sure if this post belongs in this forum or not, excuse me if it doesn’t. Thanks!
