Quote from @Corby Goade:

Why are you asking them for permission to perform repairs on your property? Give them 24 hour, written notice that it is happening and do what you need to do.

Unfortunately, I dont think I can barge into their unit without them present. No?!

Hello BP

Ive been renting to Section 8 tenant 3 years and decided not to renew lease due to back rent. We re currently in court and have been for a while. Theyre difficult to deal with at his point; not allowing access for capital repairs. The court stip is "pay back due rent or evict." However, the court continously grants more time. Please advise on how to contact case work and/or remedy this issue.

thank you

David

Is there a way to contact case worker without waiting 3 hours on section 8 hotline?

Quote from @Theresa Harris:

Talk to her case worker and let her know that you aren't renewing her lease.  If there are lease violations, mention them-you not having a key to access the unit WITH proper notice or in case of emergency is one of them.

I'd also tell the tenant that they are clearly not happy there, so finding a new place is in their best interest as well and as they have several months, they should have lots of options. I'd also tell them if they need to leave before Dec, as long as they provide 30 days' notice, you are fine with it.

This is an interesting topic. As for Nolo, is it applicable in all states? Any good eviction attorneys in NYC?

Good Evening

I'm interesting in finding a local lender in Shreveport with favorable terms. Credit unions and low downpayment options preferred. For mortgages less than $50k. Thank you for your input.
