What are the chances of being sued for anymore damages than the deposit on a SFH? Seller wants to move to Europe after sale is made however buyer is having buyers remorse and would like to walk away being completely content with losing his/her deposit.

@Jaysen Medhurst thanks for your response! I've been doing some reading on FHA vs conventional. 20% down is out of my ballpark, could you go more in depth about why conventional is often best?

@Brandon Rush thanks for your response! I've read that a conventional loan can have as low as 3% down depending on credit. Would it be a better decision going with a conventional than an FHA if I can get approved for either one with similar interest & similar dp?

Hello everyone, I am brand new to BP. I’m from south west Connecticut and am looking for my first 2 family (or more) to house hack. What kind of loan should I use? How much should I put down? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
