@Danny Matthews For the price point you mentioned, in Knoxville, you will probably find 2 bd / 1 ba in less desirable neighborhoods. You might have better luck with strategies to find off market deals. 3/2's in desirable neighborhoods in Knoxville are $200k and up.

Thanks Derek, I'm a carpenter and an aspiring real estate investor in the Knoxville area. I have spent the last 2 years educating myself, but I'm committed to attending networking events in 2020. I look forward to meeting you and other like-minded people.

Looking for experience, strength, and hope for a newb attending his first meetup. I know that it is suggested to start networking in the beginning, and I have avoided this for 2 years during my "education" phase. I've read all the books and listened to all the podcasts. For 2020, I have committed to start attending local networking events.

Amazon website. I searched real estate investing and promptly purchased B. Turner's Book on Rental Property Investing. After reading the book a couple times, I started to wonder what was this "Bigger Pockets" I kept seeing with this book.

I found the website and started reading the blogs and forums. I love both of the podcast. I sometimes listen to 2 a day. Finally, I am beginning to connect with other local investors in my area (Knoxville TN).

Greetings BP members! I'm a carpenter in Knoxville, TN. I'm currently working on my education by reading lots of books on personal finance, business management, and real estate investing. And I listen to the podcasts almost everyday, usually knocking out 2 a day. I'm diligently working to improve my financial position, and things are beginning to fall in place. My landlord gives me side work on some of his other properties. I tell him about what I'm doing. He is excited by my enthusiasm, and offers helpful advice. I'm intrigued by the househack as great way to get started. I really need to sit down and reverse engineer my roadmap. Just wanted to introduce myself to Bigger Pockets.
