I went to one of these seminars in the UK last night. The woman ("Robert was too busy to attend" apparently) who gave the presentation was literally no more than a saleswoman.

As other people have stated, there is nothing to gain from the seminar that you couldn't get from this site, without having training packages shoved down your throat.

My advice: don't attend and DEFINITELY don't buy into the programme - you can just as easily approach some of the successful investors on here for advice without any hidden agenda :)

@Dmitriy Fomichenko & @Brandon Turner - thanks for your comments and suggestions. This site is a great idea and it's good to see successful people sharing their thoughts/experience - the investment banking market is the complete opposite I find.

Are there any particular real estate investment strategies that you would suggest for somebody taking on their first project? (i.e. Buy to Let, Renovation & Quick Sale etc) and do you know of anybody on the site who has experience within the UK market?

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

That would be a pretty cool accolade I must say :D

Hey everyone i'm Dave, 25 year old Business Consultant for a Financial Software provider.

I'm based in the UK and am at the bottom of the real estate ladder - hence, I have not yet invested anything and am in the learning process. I do know a fair bit about Mortgages & Investment Banking as a result of my job - I do actually trade stocks & shares - but I am trying to up my knowledge of Real Estate as an income stream. (any recommended reading would be welcomed with open arms!)

I also founded a record label in 2012 which has started seeing interest from the likes of Virgin EMI and Universal Music. I also DJ in my spare time.

So....who has the best Real Estate investment story...?

Hi Guys,

Just joined up to the site after listening to some of the podcasts and reading some free material which was emailed out to me.

I am 25 years old, based in the West Midlands, UK. I have a decent paying job, but I am looking to make my money work for me, rather than just waiting for the same paycheck every month.

You hear a lot of people around the UK saying that the timing isn't right for property investment/BTL market (granted, it's picked up still in the last few years).

Hopefully there are some experienced and successful UK investors on this site that could offer up some expertise.

(apologies if this issue has already been addressed - i'm sure I will be informed if this is the case :) )

Thanks,

Dave.
