I am in the process of setting up my first S-corp. I have read information on my state regarding minutes and bylaws. I've done all that so I believe I have everything I need to get started. However, what is required on an annual basis? Is a CPA recommended?

I am really curious about this topic because I am just starting out as well. Will, an LLC protect me if all I'm doing is wholesaling in the beginning? Dont know if I necessarily want to hold anything from the get go.

Also, umbrella policies are only good for properties I only only own correct?

Post: Deceased Owners - What to do

Hey guys,

I found a property which is going up for auction however the both owners are deceased. Looks like this went through the probate process but no one claimed the property. Is there anything I can do before property goes up to the tax sale? I found one living family member but I am kinda not sure if its appropriate to call them at this point. The house has been in the estate several years and it looks like its finally making it to the tax sale. What should I do?

Thanks,

Dan

Right off of Newberry Road, next to Royal Park Plaza, and minutes from UF, Hawthorne Reserve is in an ideal location. Shopping, Entertainment and Restaurants are all within walking distance. There is a half-bath, kitchen, great Room (dining area and living room) with sliding doors that lead to a covered porch all on the first level. On the second level, there are two bedrooms that share a full bath, each with their own vanity areas. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet as well as balcony. Thesecond level hallway contains a large linen/storage closet. HOA amenities include swimming pool, clubhouse with exercise room and tennis courts. All of the units on the property are getting a facelift on the deck and rails. It is a big project predicted to wrap up by the end of the year. Public transportation is also readily available to UF and Santa Fe.

@David Flores Thank you for your update, really interested in how it turns out. Just curious, if you close on the property, do the taxes need to be settled immediately or can you carry over the taxes yourself? Didn't understand that piece of it.

Also, How are you running your comps? Zillow, Redfin?

Same story in Texas, IT is huge here especially with the concentration of the Oil and Gas industry.

Jarrod Senechal Unfortunately, that may turn off out of towners, I think the big money will always be there due to the area and concentrated wealth. I do believe the number of potential buyers and investors will be affected but there will always be a market.
