My Tenant is moving out soon and I have a lot of applications to sort through on Zillow. ALOT of them mention section 8 and that they have a voucher. But how can I verify it? is there a particular form they have or can i call some government office? Any Guidance would be much appreciated.

So after 2 years of saving, building credit, and getting outbid I finally got my first home. It is a duplex in Springfield MA that I live in one half with a tenet in the other. Going forward I'm looking for help and guidance to make sure I document everything properly. I'm looking for a CPA to tax plan for next year and a lawyer to draft a new lease because I purchased the home with the tenet. Any help is appreciated!

@Jaysen Medhurst The property ive been looking at in Enfield has alot of potential. Its a 7 bed 2 unit 2 bath in an area that has alot of houses that are in good shape or have been renovated renovated in the past few years. My current problem is getting approved for an FHA backed loan do to my young credit history. I have some handyman I can count on but u feel that my real estate plan to force the appreciation that a full renovation with a contractor (i dont know one yet) would be best. This would be my first property so I'm just a little in the dark about some of this.

@Kenneth Mooney

I would like to. His is someone I've grown to like and trust in the time I've been renting from him. We've both been very transparent and clear about money, cleaning up the building, and we both serve in the military. This type of investing is nothing I considered before a few days ago when me and him this conversation. I like the idea of it but investing is entirely new to me. Besides research, adive and books I've been reading for a few months now.

Hello Everyone.

My Name is Thibeault (Teebow) And I'm a new investor and I am looking to invest in the Northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts areas.

I currently rent a garage in CT to work on my own vehicles and occasionaly friends and family's cars. My landlord has been fixing up this warehouse for the past 4 years and has rented out different people/businesses over time. Directly above the garage is a largely unfinished area that was intended to be an apartment. He asked me if I liked the area and its potential. I became very intrigued and I have a few ideas on how to invest into the area of the building.

My main concern is how could a partnership like this could work. I feel I should consult a lawyer about this im just wondering if anybody has done this wha t feels to me like a strange business deal. Should this building be Parcelled to protect myself and my investment? Or is being a co-ower of the building enough?

I would greatly appreciate any advice that is given or a pointed direction to go in.

Thank you all.
