I’m starting a short to mid term rental business. Currently one property ready to go and I want to do 30 day plus rental and back fill open days with short term. All furnished. Curious if there are software options for managing both types of rentals.

@Jared Jernigan I would be interested. I have been involved in real estate investing as an investor and as contractor but in Minnesota. I recently moved to Houston.

Sold it. Currently I don’t have any properties. Over all I have flipped a duplex two single families and the one I’m in now is almost ready to turn rental or flip.

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in St Paul Park.

Purchase price: $100,000
Cash invested: $80,000
Sale price: $215,000

Home purchased right before the market down turn. Had some up and downs but was cash flowing nicely for a long time.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Purchased from family with quick flip in mind. Down turn created a value issue

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Have a contractor doing the work to remodel don’t over do the upgrades do better up front planning watch the market

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Michelle Alm was our realtor and did a fantastic job
