@Tim Bee

Hey Tim,

Thank you for this information. This was also my concern and to make sure this does not happen I contacted the Orange County Tax Assessor. It was relayed to me that as long the LLC is owned by the same name as the current title owner the property does not get reassessed. The tax assessor was contacted on 07-20-23.

Hello all,

I am attempting to transfer a rental property from my name to my LLC. I have been reading numerous articles and what I have discovered is to hire a title company to have them move the deed to my LLC. Is this best possible way to go about this situation?

Thank you!

Hello,

I have been using RentRedi for about two months now and really like it so far. I am considering the Maintenance Coordination package with Latchel. The pricing is decent but I am more worried about the maintenance calls when tenants do have to request one. Has anyone had any experience with Latchel? Is it worth the membership?

Thank you all!!

Thank you all for the feedback. Based on all of your replies I did a little more digging and found a video by BiggerPockets that was a little useful, I've attached the link below. That being said I am still trying to decipher if forming LLCs is still a good idea while also having another set of asset protection.

Hello all,
I recently started investing in real estate which is probably the greatest decision I've made. I reside in Orange County, California and rented my primary home which I've owned for a little over two years now. I am in the process of creating an LLC and would like to transfer the deed from my personal name to my LLC. I have spoken with my bank and advised them of the situation. They informed me there should be no problem performing the transfer. What is the best possible way to perform this transaction? Do I need to go through a title company or lawyer?
Any advice helps! Thank you!
