Post: Real Estate Services Franchise

Hi everyone, I've been looking into buying a franchise related to real estate. Basically they do real estate photos, drone aerial videos, high quality virtual staging, 3d tours, augmented reality of the homes for sale, and free brochure creation that the realtors can customize themselves and have ready almost immediately. The pricing for these services is highly leveraged and under $300 for the services mentioned above. This franchise is fairly new (about 2 years I think) and has about 70 locations so far.

I am really excited about it, but I have no real estate experience. Based on what I said, does this sound like a franchise worth investing into. Obviously it'd replace my corporate job at some point, but that's cool because I want to be out and about flying drones and using technology to help realtors. Also, does the price of services sound very competitive (let's say $300 for 4k photos, vids, 3d tours, virtual staging, ar tours, and realtor brochure creation)?

Hi all,

I have no experience in real estate except for my townhome that I currently reside in (bought it back in 2010 for a really good deal).  I've worked in accounting for 15+ years and while I do love it and it has treated me well, I just can't see myself doing the same thing all day every day for another 15+.

About a year ago I began looking at business ideas as well as franchising, and nothing really has stuck out.  Besides I don't like the fact of being "restricted" to territory/population the way that franchises do.  So then a few months ago I landed on the real estate idea.  At first I thought it was a simple buy and enjoy cash flow type of thing, but then I began reading books and watching YouTube videos on it and realized it was anything but simple.  So I dived into educating myself and am learning so much.  Luckily I finally discovered BiggerPockets where the wealth of knowledge has been incredible!

The only downside to cramming my nose into books, listening to podcasts in my car, and watching videos at home is that I have yet to actually meet and talk to other people in real estate.  I do not know anyone that I can talk to about the things I'm learning.  So I figured it was time to introduce myself to all of you and find some great and wonderful people on here that I can network with and begin attending some local groups in the Atlanta area.  And I'm a pretty social guy to so please say hi!

Thanks for reading!
