Hello Jeremy,

My name is Daniel. I'm 26 years old, completing BS in finance next year. I'm also looking to invest in multifamily property in the Portland Metro Area. I do see some multifamily property come up to the market  surface. I would love to hear from the current investors in the area.

I thought the exact same strategy. I wanted to get a duplex here in Portland, OR as well. Currently, I go to Portland State and work part time. The income IS the biggest hurdle to get a home loan like Robert said. Eventhough I do earn enough to cover a new mortgage payment of $1800, there is no lender who accepts my housing allowance as an income.

Hello Miho,

It is nice to hear from an investor from the same town. I'm glad you found the business you wanted and be able to seize the opportunity with a fairly low downpayment. The networking and building relationship really pays off in business.

Thank you for sharing the details of your first successful investment deal. I would love to hear more in the coming years.

Now, I've moved back to Portland, OR.

I'm just updating the thread for those of you who are curious.

I've decided to do business with Reliant Property. They offer three different level of service. I chose the best one and it charges me 15 percent of total monthly rent and no fees except lease fee when new tenant first move in. I feel it is quite expensive, compared to other regions. One thing I like about the company is that they offer online financials.

If you find any great management companies in El Paso, TX, please let me know!

@Tina Whitman Please let me know how you did!

El Paso RE Investors!!

Who do you recommend for best property management company in El Paso TX?

I've got a duplex currently managed by myself, but I would like to outsource as I move out of state.

Please recommend companies that would be a good fit for out of state investors.

Thank you all in advance!!

Hey Travis! Welcome to El Paso.

You and I are very alike, newbies HAHA

I just got my first home, a duplex. I'm getting my business start off here and I might even expand to other places like Austin, Texas in couple years, too.

Good luck to you and see you soon hopefully!
