Hi @Sean Conklin, generally sounds like the right idea to redeploy that idle equity if you have the time horizon (ie not retiring right now) and can handle the new financials after refi, heloc, etc. I'd say make sure you feel good about the reserves you have to handle some surprises even if things have been going well so far. Would you combine the equity into one larger investment or looking at multiple deals? If the latter, perhaps you can break up the cash out plays and incrementally shift the equity into new deals. Just keep an eye on rates!

Myself and @Jessica Muto host a North County meetup similar to what you're talking about at the Windmill in Carlsbad. The added benefit is that there's some food options in addition to local beers / full bar. We meet once a month Friday evenings.

For anyone new, when @Jessica Muto says "casual", it means there isn't a presentation or any formalities whatsoever. It's all hang out time with like minded people, 1 on 1, and small group conversations on whatever topics you strike up. We'll try to make helpful introductions on your behalf both in the meeting and through follow-ups when people are looking for contacts in certain areas (if you wish). 

As an introvert myself, sometimes networking meetings can be a little stressful if you don't know how it works / what to expect... 

In summary, there's no catch, it's for you and your goals, have fun, make friends, etc. :-)

Thanks to all who were able to make it on Friday! Was great meeting several new people and seeing some familiar faces! I thought it was awesome and it seemed like people were having a good time + found it beneficial.

Hi @Justin R., I made that switch and I prefer Stessa to Quickbooks for the light weight real estate accounting. It only made sense for me to manage my properties in Quickbooks if I had some additional bookkeeping help. I think Stessa would be new to most accountants (& was for mine) so we had to go back and fourth a bit this last tax year. I think you'll enjoy Stessa. Since it's free, give it a shot with a couple properties even if you're on the fence...
