Post: Snow Removal in Minnesota

Do you as an investor typically cover costs associated with snow removal in Minnesota? If so - who do you recommend?

Note: No requirement is spelled out in our lease. Last year the previous owners paid for snow removal. They removed snow when more than 2 inches fell - otherwise their property manager shoveled. I do not want to shovel at all and we don't have a property manager. One of our tenants (we have a triplex) is willing to help shovel, but does not use all areas on property for daily needs. There are 3 outside staircases and a street sidewalk, as well as space between the sidewalk and their garage stalls (which is small, but because it's off the main street, you know snow will pile up considerably there). Thank you for any and all insight!

Thanks for reaching out! I may be in the area in the next few weeks - I'll let you know when I'll be up there and maybe we can connect. Otherwise, I'll try to make it up for the next MNREIA meeting on Aug 31st!

Hi all,

We're looking to set up a small portfolio of rental properties (10-12 properties) in Duluth, MN. We live about 2.5 hours away so we'll need to establish a local team. Looking for good property managers, contractors, and legal services. Anyone have recommendations or know about folks to avoid?

Thanks!

Is anyone doing well wholeselling and/or rehabing mobile homes in Minnesota or Wisconsin?

I'm just starting out and have a few questions.

Do I need any specific license to buy/sell used mobile homes in either state?

Do homes need to be brought up to local building codes before being sold?

Thanks!
