Hello BP community. I just read an interesting article in the Wall St Journal today regarding Wall st firms spending record amounts in single family housing rentals. Institutional investors and some private wealthy Chinese investors are pouring money in to fund mass purchases of single family homes across the U.S., with some even beginning to build. I sense some speculation since homeownership is increasingly out of reach to most Americans. Could this be a recipe for the next crash in the housing market? What does this mean for “mom and pop” investors? I would appreciate any further insights!

Hello BP Community, I need some help getting out of the “analysis paralysis” trap. I’m an aspiring real estate investor and I’m looking to invest in my first property and hit the ground running. I have been actively reading and continue to read books that cover all avenues of REI, and I would say that I generally understand what plan of action I want to take to achieve my goals. I am looking to build a team to help me execute and actually get started. Thanks!

Post: How do I️ get started?

Hello everyone, my name is Dan Daley and I’m an aspiring real estate investor. I️ am a 22-year-old recent college grad, currently living at home on Long Island, NY and work in NYC as a Credit Analyst on Wall Street. Having spoken to some investors, I was advised that if I️ wanted to get started, I️ should consider moving out of state. I️ am strongly considering the owner-occupied “house hack” strategy in a market near a growing financial hub. I️ am open to the possibility of moving out of state to a city with better prospects for deals, cheaper cost of living, and job opportunity (you know, to hedge my bets). How could I️ get started? How much money should I️ start out with? I️ would appreciate the opportunity to connect with anyone and hear your advice. Thank you!
