Post: Capital Gains Unforeseen Circumstances

We bought our 2 bedroom Apt about 18 months ago, and to our surprise, my wife became pregnant with our second child. In addition, my job role changed requiring me to work more from home, which makes it nearly impossible with the two kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. We are in contract to sell our apt, but we will still be shy of the 2 years for capital gain exclusions. Would this qualify us for the unforeseen circumstances for capital gains exemptions?

If so, what documentation or proof do I need to provide? Simply a letter from my employer requiring our change job description?

Thanks beforehand
