Good idea. I spend a lot of time in Hernando County, Florida. I have family and business associates down there. In fact, I currently own two single family rentals there which have gone pretty well. I'm familiar with much of upstate New York too, but I don't have a network of people up there that I can count on. Perhaps that will change.

I have been involved in real estate in one way or another for years, as both an attorney and commercial property manager. However, I am just getting started (a little late in life) investing on my own. So, I'm an experienced newbie. Although I have listed my law practice on this site, I do not practice real estate law. I stopped doing that about 20 years ago. I do not hold myself out as an expert in real estate law, nor have I joined this site to seek work as a lawyer. Rather, I would like to talk to and learn from people already doing what I want to do, which right now seems to be single family buy and holds in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. New York is way too pricey for me! I look forward to getting to know people with similar interests.
