For those who are experienced with notes investing, Scott did share a few assets that we allegedly purchased with out JV. Who should I call / research to figure out if those assets were actually purchases and current status?

Unfortunately I moved forward before the negative info surfaced.

Wow, I am in the same boat!  He has gone completely silent and non-responsive.  @Gerry Cohen I am going to PM you.

Dana

Hi, we won a lawsuit against our dubious landlord in SF (I'm a landlord too) as the house was well below habitable standards in many ways and resulted in personal injury and property damage.  Out attorney said that his clients are all able to claim the rent-back portion as a repayment (and not taxable as income) however our attorney is having heartburn over that and is narrowly citing 2 o3 use cases that preclude and award from income tax.   I'm unable to find any precedence online.   Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

HI, I'm looking to connect to a few JV investors who have worked with Scott Carson. Positive and negative experiences welcome. He said he doesn't share investor info. Thanks!

has anyone used Quest or mysolo401k ?  also i saw this post on a 401a but it seemed complicated.  https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2010/11/1...

did anyone pursue that instead?

no @matt

@Matt K. its not in morris invest.

thank you @Nathan Gesner for the detailed response.  Everything is in process and I am getting some movement on their end but no commitment on when warranties will be paid.  I thought it would be better to tryto work with them and avoid legal action for the cost and time factor.  and i believe the PM is not being malicious but is over his head right now.    @Caleb Heimsoth yes the warranties are to cover rent if there are no leases within 60 days of ownership and repair costs.
