Hi Tod!

Southlake is a very nice area, lots of wonderful homes up there. I'm actually pretty familiar with our whole area, from Denton to Ennis, Weatherford to Mesquite - the company I work for at my day job has given me many opportunities to go out into the communities here in DFW. Searching the Blogs is a good idea I hadn't thought of yet, Thanks!

Thanks for the welcoming, gentlemen. I'm sure you're both a wealth of information with your experience. Charles, I'm particularly interested in learning about construction cost estimating - I see you have a lot of experience in that area. As someone looking to get started in wholesales potentially, I need to know where to look to start figuring out reasonable repair costs so that I can estimate the figures appropriately. Ted, since you've been as active as you have here on BP, can you direct me to any "must see" areas? There's a LOT of good info on here, I'm sure, but it could take a guy a year or more to get through it all!

Hello All...

I'm in the DFW area, and I'm new to REI. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to any local clubs or mentors. I'd like to focus on starting out in wholesaling, but I'm not opposed to exploring/learning about other ideas as well. Any help is appreciated.

Hello All...

I'm Dan, and this is my first post here at BP. I've been lurking around the forums for a couple of weeks now (along with other REI sites on the 'net), and I've decided it's time to make myself known and get this ball rolling!

I'm in the DFW area here in TX, and I'm eager to start taking steps (no matter how big or small) to work towards making a better lifestyle for my family (wife, 3 daughters, 2 dogs, etc).

At any rate, I'm here for help, (as most newbies are) in getting started. I'm particularly interested in wholesaling (since it has the lowest "financial requirements" to get started  ), but I'm open to any and all avenues, provided I can still work my day job and provide for my family. Mind you, I'm not in love with my job by ANY means, but it pays the bills...

Any mentors in the DFW area would be great, as would and clubs that anyone could direct me to for networking purposes.
