Hi All,

Its time to get a Brooklyn/Queens meetup off the ground.   After a few posts and many interested members I wanted to try and get something going.    So here we are.

Come Join Us.

Monday February 8th
The Craic
488 Driggs Ave Brooklyn NY 11211
6:30-8:30pm

This is a low key bar in Williamsburg.  3 Blocks away from the Bedford L train stop with very cheap drinks and a relaxing atmosphere.    Easily accessible from most areas in Brooklyn  and Queens.

The idea is simple.  To network and help create community among bigger pockets members.   Meet some great people and build together.

As this is a new event, all ideas on how to make it great are appreciated.    I will have name tags for everyone and can help facilitate introductions.     Please feel free to spread the word to other members and lets make this a huge success and worthwhile for everyone attending .

Any questions?   Feel free to send me a message or reply on here.

Sign up sheet.

***Please note since this is a bar the event is 21+

Hey @Jackson Tanis   welcome to BP!   you'll find a huge wealth of resources here.    Also a ton of members in the borough.   I've personally met at least 70 or 80 people from this site and have already done business with a couple of them.     Good luck and talk soon

@James Ritter  I think its a good strategy if you execute it well.      I sent about 2000 of these letters before and did not receive a single call.   I was doing specifically back property taxes.   If I had it to do all over again I would probably bring on a few bird dogs to knock on doors and speak to these owners directly.  Focusing on 200 houses instead of 2000.

Have you guys thought about any?

Mine are as follows.

-Purchase 6+ units in New York State.   Connect with portfolio lenders locally.
-Organize a local real estate meet up in Brooklyn NY
-Bring on 2 virtual assistants to help me with time management.
-Travel to areas where the 2% rule is attainable.   Began to understand the markets and start connecting with local agents in those areas.
-Have a great time, work hard, and post a lot more on bigger pockets.
