Borrowing a good idea I saw for a post that was applied to Northern Cali. I'd like to attempt the same thing here in LA. I'm hoping to go along with a seasoned investor to look at houses and learn hands on things that I need to look out for while assessing properties. All in an effort to further my RE education, I'll get the coffee and coffee cake if thats your thing. Eager to learn, please get in contact with me.

@Thomas Fucci If you're still looking to put a research team together I'd be interested to know more. I'm trying to educate myself and learn more about the different processes in Real Estate that will require the research you're looking for. Please let me know. 

Hey @Sharif Mensah, I'm new here to and have had the same concerns you do about wholesaling and what's needed to be set up. I was even thinking about looking into that same program from Cody Sperber. Haven't pulled the trigger yet because I feel like I need to take some more steps towards my education and taking action before I make any purchases. Good luck on the journey. Let me know how the program helps. 

Great answers and advice @Ruan De Nysschen and @Brett Snodgrass, answered concerns I had at well. I just had a post deleted because I didn't know the rules of engagement as far as asking for mentors. Gonna put this advice to use though. 

This posts really hits home. I haven't been involved in RE long enough to feel the frustration but the advice posted here is valuable and helps a lot nonetheless. I've learned something that I'm sure will help me just from a few responses to someone else's outreach. Now to do something with it!

Really appreciate the welcome. I'm definitely increasing my Real Estate knowledge daily and beginning to analyze deals. BP is already proving a great place to be, very excited to be here. My name is Damien Dear, longtime resident of the LA area and new to this wonderful site and forum. Currently, I work for the city of Santa Monica and do some freelance Photography/Videography on the side. I'm really looking forward to learning as much as possible about the endless world of Real Estate. Recently, I finished reading Rich Dad/ Poor Dad and have opened my eyes to finding ways to invest in my future not just for myself but for the family I will have one day. I've begun to research Real Estate, including buy and holds for Multi family homes, wholesaling and flips but it seems the more I learn the more there is to know! 

I'm very interested in finding mentors and becoming about of partnerships that will provide the info and know how that will help one prosper in the Real Estate world. Don't want to make this intro too lengthy but I am very excited to be here and the possibilities it may lead to. 

Hope to hear and possibly meet from you all soon.
