Hi, new to real estate with around 50k to invest. This would be my first home purchasing with an FHA. My life is in OC I would like to stay here but finding a decent home for a reasonable price seems almost nonexistent. I understand oc is expensive place to live. My strategy is to renovate the home myself, refinance, then decide to hold or sell because of the high mortgage. I don't see many homes that need renovating here. I'm not finding a lot of fixer uppers for sale in my criteria. Does anyone have suggestions in a market like this or can share some knowledge of a similar experience.

@Hannah Noble I live in OC as well and in the same

boat as you. I live in Huntington Beach currently and would like to stay down here. But as you say it is super pricey down here for what the house actually are.

@Stefanny Gonzalez I'm in the same boat. I live in Orange County and have talked with a couple investors. Their targets seem to be multiplexes and homes near the coast to Air bnb. I'm looking for my first home currently with an FHA loan looking to either flip or eventually rent. But the cash flow does not look very good...if any for homes or condos.

Hi, new to BiggerPockets. I just signed up and tried the Rental Calculator. I get to the end, click finish analysis, and it refreshes to a blank page.
