Brandon Hall Yes it was a primary residence and I lived there for 9 years. The gain over my purchase price was about $8,000.

I sold my home after purchasing another home on a land sales contract to a family member. The home will stay in my name until the property is paid in full. From a tax stand point how is this done? Do I just file the interest each year on my taxes?

Thanks for all the comments! I've had dealings with my credit union and they do in house loans 10 year and pretty low cost.

I've had one in the area before and they are in price ranges of $20k-$30k hoa are about $110 a month including water

Hi, I'm planning on getting back into rental properties again and wanted to ask a few questions. 1. Should I pay cash or do 20%-50% down 2. How much in cash reserves should I have for each property 3. How long should I wait to acquire the second property after my first purchase 4. My plan is to purchase condos and town houses all in the same area 1 mile from each other 5. Anything I may need to add to help you provide me with better answers please let me know
