Hello Everyone,

I'm an Australian living in NYC and have always been attracted to the idea of owning/investing in real estate.  My family never owned the homes we lived in so the stability of real estate ownership has appealed to me for a long time.  At this stage my interest is in the Philadelphia or Baltimore markets but am open to exploring anywhere in the North East with the exception of NYC - the market here is beyond my reach right now.  I'm interested in small multi-family buy-and-holds with the view to compile a portfolio of 6 to 10 properties.

I'm a full time bartender and have been for many years, so my experience in anything real estate related is limited to managing an Airbnb listing for the last 4 years.  It has certainly provided some education in managing tenants but essentially I'm completely green.  I'm looking forward to meeting people on Bigger Pockets and learning what I can and offering what I can in return (once i figure out what that is!).
